Anonymous asked: Hello! I had a revelation tonight and I realized that it is ok if I don't have a lot of friends bc the ones that I have are amazing ladies of God who are here by His grace alone! I may not be the traditional college student who goes clubbing and making superficial friends! But I'm content where I am. And that is on the narrow path to heaven! So what if not everyone likes me! I am here to...

WHAT CAN I PRAY FOR YOU GUYS ABOUT?
Anonymous asked: Just trying to help: "does" is past tense: "does your arm hurt? yes it does" "do's" is the word you are looking for when saying "do's and don'ts" \. Also, there is a difference between "then" and "than". use THAN when you are comparing things. ex: "A third grader has better grammar THAN you" Just telling you this...

Christianity is not a set of Rules!
As young Christians we have been trained to think of Christianity as a set of rules. We think of our lives as Christians as do’s and don’ts but I would have to say the don’ts stick out more than the do’s. Don’t have sex before marriage. Don’t get drunk. Don’t do drugs. Don’t cuss too much. Don’t commit crimes. etc. etc. etc. It’s become,...

God humble me
I have had a really tough week and have been struggling a lot to be as dedicated of a Christian as I have been or would like to be. It’s almost as if right when I am to the point of completely surrendering myself to God I revert back out of fear with what that might mean to my life. It’s like I know better and I know I am better then these stupid temptations but yet here I am...

Sunday class thought
I teach Luke in college class every Sunday morning, while I was reading through Luke 6 and this passage in particular last night something occurred to me. It reads
27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone...

Getting over a breakup
I am answering a question I got a couple days ago, about how to get over a breakup and move on with your life. This question is extremely hard for me to answer because I have never been in a serious relationship and lack experience in this area. But however I have been in situations where I have had a hard time getting over something. I would say it all starts with trust in God. We have to be open...

Is reading your bible necessary? DUH!
Why should we read our bibles daily? I have narrowed it down to 4 main reasons among others.
1. Spiritual Growth
It is impossible to grow in your faith without reading the bible. “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2). Christians cannot grow without food. God’s Word is the food. And it is a great day when...
Anonymous asked: where you going 2 law school?
redneckdisciple asked: Well, I'm gonna put my two cents in. I was re-baptized this summer. I was first baptized at a church I only visited 3 or 4 times when I was 10. I had no clue what it entailed or the reasons behind it. This summer I got a total understanding of it. I think if you do it without understanding of the symbolism and the Holy Spirit, then all you're doin' is simply gettin' dunked in...
amazhonligia asked: Yes i have a questoins, is Hookah bad? if it is bad tell me why? i was thinking to ask you the other day but i can see your busy. Get back to be when you get an answer :)
Anonymous asked: Just a random question, but why don't you reblog inspirational things related to Christianity? Also what are you giving up for lent!?
Anonymous asked: What do you think about getting re-baptized? I was baptized when I was thirteenish but I didn't have as clear of an understanding about baptism as I do now. It's just been something on my mind lately and I've heard some people tell me you only have to do it once even if you fall away and come back again. What are your opinions?

The notion of Christianity being accepted in a nation should be more shocking then it being rejected. With acceptance there’s no forced sacrifice and it therefore breeds lukewarm Christianity. With persecution and rejection you are forced to choose between living a dedicated lifestyle or none at all.

Dating Contract
About a year ago at my best friend’s house I noticed a very peculiar contract on the fridge. It was a dating contract that his brother and his girlfriend entered into. At first I thought it was weird especially just on the fridge like that, but after he explained it to me it made more sense. Him and his girlfriend wanted to date right under God and their parent’s authority so they...

Man I’m not a cryer but God has brought tears to my eyes at least 5 times today by how he has answered my prayers. It’s kinda an overwhelming emotional feeling I am not used to and don’t know how to deal with! I am in awe.

It's a God thing
I posted a couple days ago about my frustrations at work and how it was hard balancing that with my ministry internship. It’s crazy because at work on Monday I was really mad my boss was going to make me work Wednesday night, when I am never scheduled Wednesdays, because of church. The thing that made me mad was I made my commitment clear when I started the job and the times I needed...
Anonymous asked: dude you complain soooo much about Christians! All your blog entries are about what you don't like about Christianity! Yes it sucks that Christians are sinful and imperfect but for as much complaining you do, try writing uplifting and encouraging posts once in a while! I'm sorry, that was kind of harsh, but sometimes your blog is a bit discouraging!

Christianity today is so much about talk and not enough about action. It’s like a football team that huddles up and discusses what play to call and then gets all pumped up about the play. Then instead of going on the field to carry that play out they all go and sit on the bench and say wow what a great play I am really going to remember that play, that play sounds like it would work. You...

Resisting temptation goes beyond saying no to Satan, it’s saying yes to God, it’s ridding your life of evil by filling your life with Godly things.

Priorities
As a Christian you are bombarded with choices between God or something else daily. Lately for me it has been work. Man oh man is it hard on my life right now being in the situation I’m in. For those of you who don’t know I am a college ministry intern for my church but also a manager at Abercrombie 45 hours a week until I start law school. I have been pretty good with managing my time...

A glimpse into my life
I want to talk about something that happened to me about 8 or 9 months ago. I know I talk a lot about dating and what not and I have mentioned being the person now that you want to be for your future spouse when you meet them. For me that means being the leader in all aspects, especially spiritually, for my future wife, if God intends me to have one, right now and not having to change later. I...

Rejoice in your reward
No matter what you are going through right now in your life, if times are rougher then they have ever been, your days seem to drag on, and you just feel like life is dealing you harsh blows all the time, meditate on this.
“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven.”
Anything we go through on earth is meaningless compared to our eternal happiness in...

How can someone read a passage like this and not think Christianity calls them to live a radical lifestyle
27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from...

If your parent told you to clean your room would you come back to them and say proudly I memorized what you said. I even wrote it down so I could remember it, and expect them to be proud, no. If you have respect for them, you do what you are told and then they are proud because you did what was expected of you.
So why then do we memorize God’s commands and not do them? We walk around acting...

I think sometimes we forget that the Bible was written for the common man. We focus so much on commentaries and on spiritual authority explaining scripture for us, we forget it is up to us to decide for ourselves. Often because of this we knit pick scripture to death and miss the obvious. Miss the obvious commands and simple messages. Remember the men and women in the bible were ordinary people, I...

Lately I’ve really been struggling with finding my purpose. I have a strong calling toward ministry but at the same time I feel pulled toward law school and it has been a constant dilemma between the two. I feel sometimes like my mind is in a consistent state of confusion, I ask myself am I going to law school for me or doing it because God is leading me there? Then I think is ministry...

I don't know what I'm doing
“I don’t know what I am doing,” is what Francis Chan said was the whole point of his sermon today. It’s funny because everyone including himself laughed at that notion because he was suppose to be telling us what we were suppose to do as ministers today, I mean that’s why people paid to come see him right? But what he meant by this is that he doesn’t know what...

Valentine's Day
In light of Valentine’s day I have a challenge for you all. Instead of moping around in your singleness or dwelling on it, like society tends to make us do on this day, spend this Valentine’s day differently. I challenge you to spend the day bringing glory to God. Here are some possibilities I have thought of; spend your day helping someone who needs it, spend all day in the word,...

Satan doesn’t choose the way he tempts us or timing of tempting us randomly, no it is very strategic. He chooses the times when we are most vulnerable, the temptations that lure us in the most and offer a fulfillment of our specific fleshly desires. Satan capitalizes on our weaknesses and allows us to rationalize what we are doing at the time, so as to slowly allow ourself to give into the...

Give up everything and follow him
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.
We can take a lot from the Levi’s reaction to Jesus’ command to follow him. As a Christian we need to be willing to leave everything for Christ in a heart beat. We are not called to be tied to our...

Because you say so
Luke Chapter 5 reads,
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
I was reading Luke 5 tonight and “But because you say so” stuck out to me. Why did this stand out to me?...

Your Christianity means nothing when things are going well, when things are easy and you’re faithful you haven’t proven anything! It’s when times are tough, when stress is high, when temptation is rampant that you prove your dedication to Christ. When Satan is in your face and you feel like giving up and giving in but somehow know you have to push through it, that’s when...
